4×4 Fest 2026: off-road enthusiasts fire up their engines to experience the thrill of off-roading at the exhibition centre, on the quarry tours and driving on the sand!
From 9 to 11 October, Marina di Carrara will host the 22nd edition of 4×4 Fest. Over three days, industry professionals and enthusiasts will discover the latest off-road innovations and experience the action behind the wheel, from the sandy trails of “Sand Emotion” to the spectacular Carrara marble quarries, alongside the new motorcycle tour.
MARINA DI CARRARA, ITALY – From 9 to 11 October 2026, IMM CarraraFiere will once again become the ultimate destination for enthusiasts of off-roading, adventure and the great outdoors. Now in its 22nd edition, 4×4 Fest is ready to welcome visitors, industry professionals and off-road enthusiasts with a packed programme of events and activities.
The true beating heart of 4×4 Fest is not simply something to watch, but something to experience behind the wheel. The event offers visitors the unique opportunity to take part with their own 4×4 vehicle or motorcycle, turning them into the true protagonists of the off-road experience. 4×4 Fest is the perfect opportunity to put both vehicles and driving skills to the test, tackling the fascinating challenges of the sandy Sand Emotion track or the demanding and spectacular setting of the Carrara marble quarries. Participants can take on steep climbs, dirt tracks and unique technical sections in a truly world-class environment.
Whether navigating the rocky tracks of the quarries or putting their vehicles through their paces on the beach dunes, taking on these challenges in their own vehicle delivers an unforgettable adrenaline rush — as well as the pleasure of sharing the 4×4 passion with a vibrant and welcoming community.
The main activities of the 2026 edition
1. The exhibition
The halls of CarraraFiere will host a large exhibition area showcasing the latest developments in the market. Visitors will find the newest 4×4 and SUV models, accessories, technical spare parts and specialist equipment, as well as products and solutions dedicated to adventure travel and outdoor activities.
2. Sand Emotion: driving and action on the beach
The iconic sand track returns to the beach. The Sand Emotion area will give participants the opportunity to test their driving skills on sand with their own off-road vehicles, while also enjoying spectacular demonstrations featuring 4x4s, motorcycles and quads.
Sand Emotion opening times:
Friday 9 October: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October: driving sessions from 9:30/10:00 am until 6:00 pm
Special Motorcycle/Quad/4×4 demonstrations: Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 noon–1:00 pm and 3:00–4:00 pm
Which marble quarry tour should you choose?
There are two types of quarry tour, taking place outdoors and underground. The main difference lies in the visual and driving experience they offer.
The outdoor quarry tour focuses on panoramic high-altitude driving, offering breathtaking views stretching from the sea to the mountains, dynamic off-road sections and stops inside active extraction areas under the open sky.
The Ravaccione gallery quarry tour, on the other hand, takes participants deep inside the mountain, offering an extraordinary underground experience and the chance to admire the majestic “marble cathedral” of Ravaccione — a vast underground chamber with an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the world.
3. The marble quarry tours
A unique immersive experience through the three Carrara marble basins — Torano, Miseglia and Colonnata. The tours are reserved for vehicles equipped with four-wheel drive and low-range gearing and include:
Outdoor quarries: partially off-road routes featuring spectacular views and panoramic viewpoints over the active quarries. The tour also includes a visit to the Roman quarry, a fascinating archaeological site dating back to the 2nd century BC.
Ravaccione gallery quarry: the largest and most spectacular underground quarry in the heart of the mountain.
Tour A – Gallery quarries: available Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October.
Tour B – Quarries + Sand Emotion: combines the quarry experience with Sand Emotion and related activities. Available from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October.

4. The Motorcycle Tour – Sunday 11 October
A major new addition to the 2026 programme, designed specifically for off-road motorcycles.
Starting from Piazzale Ponte di Ferro at 10:00 am, the tour will take riders along adventurous routes combining technical sections, scenic dirt tracks and breathtaking natural landscapes.
