4×4 Fest 2026: official opening ceremony and growing attendance at the 22nd edition at CarraraFiere
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Saturday morning in the presence of local authorities and the organising team. Visitor numbers and the number of exhibiting brands are both up significantly compared with last year. The event concludes tomorrow, Sunday 11 October.
MARINA DI CARRARA, Italy, 10 October 2026 – The 22nd edition of 4×4 Fest, Italy’s major celebration of off-roading, adventure and outdoor living, is now in full swing. Early this morning, Saturday 10 October, the official ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the formal opening of the event at the IMM CarraraFiere exhibition centre.
The opening ceremony was attended by the CarraraFiere organising team, Daniele Caldana (Tirreno Trade Srl), Achille Serra (ASI representative), Roberto Martini (Head of ASI’s Off-Road Sector), Carlo Orlandi, Councillor representing the Municipality of Carrara, and Giovambattista Ronchieri, representing the Province of Massa-Carrara.
The ceremony was followed by a parade on the track featuring all kinds of vehicles, including extreme prototypes, ATVs and competition-prepared off-road vehicles, led by the legendary Land Rover vehicles associated with the Camel Trophy.
Growing numbers and strong vsitor turnout
The first provisional figures confirm the strong growth of this 22nd edition: both the number of exhibiting companies and visitor attendance during the first two days, Friday and Saturday, are up significantly compared with last year.
These results reflect the enthusiasm and passion surrounding the off-road, Overlanding and outdoor tourism sectors.
The new ASI Fuoristrada outdoor track is a major hit
One of the standout attractions during the first two days has been the new outdoor track designed by ASI Fuoristrada, which has drawn large crowds of spectators and participants.
Enthusiasts, association members and curious visitors have flocked to the viewing areas to enjoy a continuous spectacle of extreme off-road technical challenges, high-speed action on the rally circuit, water crossings and the imposing bridge ramp.
The dynamic track has received an enthusiastic response from both drivers and visitors, confirming the outstanding work involved in transporting and assembling 25 truckloads of materials and creating 13 technical sections.
Automotive innovations, accessories and Overlanding
Visitors have been filling the exhibition halls and outdoor areas, attracted by an exceptionally wide range of products and innovations.
Exhibitors are showcasing the latest developments in off-road accessories, specialist spare parts, overlanding equipment and camping solutions, including rooftop tents, winches, suspension systems, lighting and vehicle-based accommodation solutions.
The latest developments in the 4×4 and SUV markets are also attracting considerable interest from visitors and industry professionals, making the show a key destination for enthusiasts who love serious off-road driving.
Tomorrow: The Grand Finale
Following the success of the demonstrations and test drives on Friday and Saturday, tomorrow, Sunday 11 October, is set to be the highlight and closing day of the event.
Sunday’s programme will feature a full schedule of activities:
Driving sessions and live demonstrations on the sandy Sand Emotion track.
Challenges and demonstrations on the new ASI Fuoristrada outdoor track, featuring a high-speed circuit, water crossing, extreme trial sections and bridge obstacles.
The legendary Marble Quarry Tours, including new outdoor routes and an impressive visit to the Ravaccione underground marble quarry.
The debut of the Motorcycle Tour, departing at 10:00 from Piazzale Ponte di Ferro for an adventure dedicated to off-road motorcycling.
